Thanksgiving Day!

Today was amazing! After a long morning of preparing our first Thanksgiving alone, we enjoyed eating as a family. We realized today that this is our first holiday since being married that we have not been around family. Definitely a bittersweet day, we were able to start some traditions with our family but missed being around some of the traditions that we are so used too.

We had so many invitations by members of our congregation to let us join their family for the day but we insisted on staying home and having Thanksgiving as a family here. Not to mention it is the only 3 day weekend Greg has all year outside vacation. We are so glad that we did. Theodore was able to take his naps and so did we! Silly Tryptophan!

So even though he took some awesome naps today, his bath time was a little bit later than normal. We talked to Grandmas and Grandpas over and over again. We aren't sure who needed that more, mom and dad or grandma and grandpa. During his bath, he was able to play with his puppy dog and found it hilarious when Boston would jump away from the water. When Theodore is exhausted he gets a little slap happy, like his Grandma Patty!

On today we rememeber everything that we are thankful for. It was amazing to be able to sit and think about everything that God has given us and the blessings that he has brought into our life. We are thankful for our family and friends. We are thankful for employment. We are incredibly thankful for Theodore and his little brother or sister on the way. But most of all we are thankful for the amazing gift that God gave us in His son and we can't wait to celebrate that at Christmas!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
